This has been a big week for Canada and for Toronto. In addition to having a brand new government, the Toronto Poverty Reduction Strategy passed the floor of Executive Council yesterday at City Hall.

After a record 60 deputations and 4 hours of consideration, the Strategy received unanimous support, and now goes to City Council in November. We’ll be looking for hard dollars to back up these actions now, so contact your City Councillor to indicate your support!

We also look forward to what this new era of federal government has in store, especially when it comes to important issues such as housing, childcare and Indigenous issues across Canada.
